Chapter XXXVII Summary
Enoch, a descendant of Adam, shares a vision of wisdom. He speaks to people of the past and future. He says wisdom has been given to him by the Lord of Spirits. He has three parables to share. He begins the first parable.
Enoch, the descendant of Adam through Seth, Enos, Cainan, Mahalalel, and Jared, had a second vision. This was a vision of wisdom.
Here is the beginning of the wise words I am sharing with those living on earth. Listen, you people of ancient times, and pay attention, you who will come after me, to the words of the Holy One that I will speak in the presence of the Lord of Spirits.
It would have been better to share these things only with the people of the past, but we won't keep the beginning of wisdom from those who come after them either.
I have been given wisdom by the Lord of Spirits, more than anyone has ever received. This wisdom was given to me according to my understanding and the will of the Lord of Spirits, who has also given me the lot of eternal life.
Three stories were revealed to me, and I spoke them out loud to share with everyone on earth. The first story is about the coming judgment of the wicked.
