Chapter LXXX Summary
The angel Uriel tells Enoch that he has shown him everything he needed to see. He has revealed the sun, the moon, the leaders of the stars, and their tasks and times. In the days of the sinners, the years will be shortened. Their crops will grow slowly. Everything on earth will change and not happen at the right time. The rain will stop, and the sky will hold it back. The fruits of the earth and the trees will not grow when they should. The moon will change its pattern and not appear when it should. The sun will be seen in the evening, traveling in the west, and it will shine brighter than it should. Many leaders of the stars will not follow their usual paths. They will change their orbits and tasks and not appear at their usual times. The order of the stars will be hidden from the sinners. People on earth will be confused about the stars. They will be changed from their usual ways. People will be misled and think the stars are gods. The nature and the heavenly bodies will be altered because of the sins of men.
