Chapter XVI Summary
The spirits of the giants will keep destroying until the final judgment. They will not be judged for their actions. Enoch is told to speak to the Watchers. They were once in heaven but did not know all the mysteries. They shared worthless secrets with humans, causing much evil on earth. Enoch is told to tell the Watchers they have no peace.
From the time of the slaughter and destruction of the giants, when the spirits of their flesh go out, they will cause destruction without facing judgment. They will continue to do this until the final judgment, when the age will end for the Watchers and the wicked, and everything will be completed.
Here's the rewritten verse in simple modern English: "And now, to the fallen angels who sent you to plead for them, who were once in heaven, say this: 'You were in heaven, but you didn't understand all of God's secrets. Instead, you focused on worthless things, and in your stubborn hearts, you shared these things with women. Because of this, women and men have been doing much evil on earth.'"
Say to them, "You will have no peace."
