Chapter XL Summary
A huge crowd stood before the Lord of Spirits. They were too many to count. On the four sides of the Lord of Spirits, there were four special beings. They did not sleep. An angel told me their names and showed me hidden things. I heard these four beings praising the Lord of Spirits. The first one blessed the Lord of Spirits forever. The second one blessed the chosen one and all those close to the Lord of Spirits. The third one prayed for people on earth and asked for their needs. The fourth one stopped evil beings from accusing people on earth. I asked the angel who was with me about these four beings. The angel told me their names. The first one is Michael, who is kind and patient. The second one is Raphael, who takes care of all sicknesses and injuries. The third one is Gabriel, who is in charge of all powers. The fourth one is Phanuel, who helps those who want to change and live forever. These are the four angels of the Lord of Spirits. I heard their voices on that day.
I saw countless numbers, thousands upon thousands and ten thousand times ten thousand, a multitude too vast to count or measure, standing before the Lord of Spirits.
I saw four presences on each side of the Lord of Spirits, different from those who never sleep. The angel with me told me their names and showed me all the hidden things.
I heard the voices of those four beings as they praised the Lord of glory.
The first voice praises the Lord of Spirits forever and ever.
I heard a second voice praising the Chosen One and those who depend on the Lord of Spirits.
And the third voice I heard was praying and asking for mercy for those living on the earth, pleading in the name of the Lord of Spirits.
I heard the fourth voice keeping the Satans away and stopping them from coming before the Lord of Spirits to accuse those living on earth.
I asked the angel of peace who was with me and showed me all the hidden things, "Who are these four beings I have seen and whose words I have heard and written down?"
He said to me, "The first angel is Michael, who is merciful and patient. The second angel, in charge of all illnesses and injuries of people, is Raphael. The third angel, who oversees all powers, is Gabriel. The fourth angel, who guides those who repent towards hope for eternal life, is named Phanuel." These are the four angels of the Lord of Spirits, and these are the four voices I heard that day.
