Chapter LXIII🇪🇸🇷🇺🇮🇳🇨🇳Enoch

Chapter LXIII Summary

Mighty kings and rulers beg for a short break from punishment. They want to worship and confess their sins. They praise the Lord of Spirits, calling Him the Lord of kings, the mighty, the rich, and the wise. They admit they did not believe or glorify Him before. They say they hoped in their power and glory, but now they see His judgments are fair and do not favor anyone. They realize their souls are full of wrongdoing, but it does not stop them from being sent to a place of punishment. Then, they will be filled with darkness and shame before the Son of Man. They will be driven away, and a sword will stay among them. This is the judgment for the mighty, kings, and those who possess the earth.

Verse 1

In those days, the powerful and the kings who rule the earth will beg for a short break from the angels of punishment that they were given. They will want to fall down and worship the Lord of Spirits, and admit their sins to Him.

Verse 2

And they will praise and honor the Lord of Spirits, saying: "Blessed is the Lord of Spirits, the Lord of kings, the Lord of the powerful, the Lord of the wealthy, the Lord of glory, and the Lord of wisdom."

Verse 3

Your power is amazing in every hidden thing, from one generation to the next. Your glory lasts forever and ever. Your secrets are deep and countless. Your righteousness is beyond measure.

Verse 4

We have now learned that we should glorify and praise the Lord of kings and the one who is king over all kings.

Verse 5

They will say, "If only we could have rest so we could honor, thank, and declare our faith in front of His glory!"

Verse 6

We are eager for even a brief moment of peace, but we cannot find it. We pursue it relentlessly, yet it eludes us. Light has disappeared from our sight, and darkness has become our eternal home.

Verse 7

We didn't believe in Him before, nor did we honor the name of the Lord of Spirits. We didn't honor our Lord. Instead, we put our hope in the power of our kingdom and our own glory.

Verse 8

In times of suffering and trouble, He doesn't rescue us, and we don't get a chance to admit that our Lord is always right in what He does, in His judgments, and in His fairness. His judgments treat everyone the same.

Verse 9

We leave His presence because of what we've done, and all our sins are counted against us in judgment.

Verse 10

They will say to themselves, "We are full of wrongfully gained wealth, but it won't stop us from going down to the heavy load of Sheol."

Verse 11

Their faces will be covered in darkness and shame before the Son of Man. They will be driven away from him, and a sword will remain in their midst.

Verse 12

Here is the modern English version of the verse: This is what the Lord of Spirits said: 'This is the rule and decision concerning the powerful, the kings, the noble, and those who own the earth, all before the Lord of Spirits.'
