And Abraham sojourned in the Philistines’ land many days.

Abraham lived for a long time in the land of the Philistines.

And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is upon us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Jonah.

They all asked each other, "Let's use chance to find out who's responsible for this trouble. So they did, and it turned out to be Jonah."

For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

The vision will happen soon, but it will take some time to be clear. Wait for it, because it will definitely arrive and won't delay.

Before these things Enoch was hidden, and no one of the children of men knew where he was hidden, and where he abode, and what had become of him.

Enoch was taken away before these events, and no one knew where he went, where he was staying, or what happened to him.

And from thence I went towards the north to the ends of the earth, and there I saw a great and glorious device at the ends of the whole earth.

I traveled north to the farthest parts of the earth, and there I saw a magnificent and awe-inspiring structure at the very edge of the world.

And after that there shall be still more unrighteousness than that which was first consummated on the earth; for I know the mysteries of the holy ones; for He, the Lord, has showed me and informed me, and I have read (them) in the heavenly tablets.

After that, there will be even more wickedness than what has already happened on earth. I know the secrets of the holy ones because the Lord has shown and told me about them, and I have read them in the heavenly records.
