"All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not."
I can do anything, but not everything is good: I can do anything, but not everything builds up others.

"Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered."
Similarly, you husbands, live with your wives by understanding their needs, treating them with respect, since they are precious too, and both of you share in God's blessings. This ensures your prayers aren't blocked.
"In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them."
In which you used to walk at one point, when you lived in them.
"And when it was told me how that the Jews laid wait for the man, I sent straightway to thee, and gave commandment to his accusers also to say before thee what they had against him. Farewell."
When I heard that the Jews were planning to catch the man, I immediately informed you and ordered both him and his accusers to tell you their concerns about him. Goodbye.
"And therefore do they fear because all their goodly possessions go upon the sea with them, and they have evil forebodings of heart that the sea will swallow them and they will perish therein."
They are afraid because all their valuable belongings are on the sea with them, and they have a bad feeling that the sea might swallow them up and they will die in it.
"And I looked at them and saw, and behold they all let out their privy members, like horses, and began to cover the cows of the oxen, and they all became pregnant and bare elephants, camels, and asses."
I watched as they revealed their private parts, similar to horses, and started to mate with the female oxen. As a result, all the oxen became pregnant and gave birth to elephants, camels, and donkeys.
"And hold fast my words in the thoughts of your hearts, And suffer them not to be effaced from your hearts; For I know that sinners will tempt men to evilly-entreat wisdom, So that no place may be found for her, And no manner of temptation may minish. XCIV. 6-"
Keep my words in your hearts and minds, and don't let them fade away. I know that sinners will try to turn people against wisdom, so that it has no place and no temptation can diminish it.

"And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time."
Now you understand what is stopping him from being shown at the right time.
"Forasmuch therefore as your treading is upon the poor, and ye take from him burdens of wheat: ye have built houses of hewn stone, but ye shall not dwell in them; ye have planted pleasant vineyards, but ye shall not drink wine of them."
Since you are walking on the poor and taking away their wheat loads, you built houses with cut stones, but you cannot live in them. You also planted lovely grape gardens, but you won't get to enjoy the wine from them.
