From that time, those who rule the earth will no longer have power or be exalted. They won't be able to look at the holy ones, because the Lord of Spirits has made His light shine on the faces of the holy, righteous, and chosen ones.
"And her rising and setting change every month: and her days are like the days of the sun, and when her light is uniform (i.e. full) it amounts to the seventh part of the light of the sun."
The moon's rising and setting times change each month. Its days are like the sun's, and when it's full, its light is about one-seventh as bright as the sun's.
"When the punishment of the Lord of Spirits shall rest upon them, it shall rest in order that the punishment of the Lord of Spirits may not come, in vain, and it shall slay the children with their mothers and the children with their fathers. Afterwards the judgement shall take place according to His mercy and His patience.'"
When the punishment from the Lord of Spirits comes upon them, it will be so that the punishment does not come for nothing. It will kill the children along with their mothers and the children along with their fathers. After that, judgment will happen according to His mercy and patience.
