There are twelve openings in the sky. Three are on the east side, three on the west, three on the south, and three on the north. Four of these openings bring good winds. The other eight bring harmful winds. These winds can cause destruction on the earth, in the water, and to all living things. The first east wind brings destruction, drought, heat, and ruin. The middle east wind brings rain, fruitfulness, prosperity, and dew. The third east wind brings cold and drought. The first south wind brings heat. The middle south wind brings good smells, dew, rain, prosperity, and health. The third south wind brings dew, rain, locusts, and destruction. The first north wind brings dew, rain, locusts, and destruction. The middle north wind brings health, rain, dew, and prosperity. The third north wind brings clouds, frost, snow, rain, dew, and locusts. The first west wind brings dew, frost, cold, snow, and frost. The middle west wind brings dew, rain, prosperity, and blessing. The last west wind brings drought, destruction, burning, and ruin. All twelve openings are now described. All their laws, punishments, and benefits have been shown to Methuselah.
There are three openings in the eastern part of the heavens, three in the western part, three in the southern part, and three in the northern part.
The first three stars are in the east, three are in the north, three are in the south, and three are in the west.
Four of these openings bring winds that bless and bring good fortune, while the other eight release harmful winds. When these destructive winds are sent out, they cause devastation across the entire earth and its waters, affecting all living things on land and in the water.
The first wind from those openings, called the east wind, blows out through the first opening in the east, moving towards the south. It brings destruction, dryness, heat, and ruin.
Through the second door in the middle comes what is needed, and from it come rain, growth, good fortune, and dew. Through the third door, which is to the north, come cold and dryness.
After that, the south winds come out through three openings. Through the first opening, which leans towards the east, comes a hot wind.
Through the middle gate next to it, pleasant scents, dew, rain, prosperity, and good health come out.
Through the third gate, which is to the west, come dew, rain, locusts, and destruction.
From the seventh opening in the east, the north winds bring dew, rain, locusts, and destruction.
From the middle gate come straight health, rain, dew, and prosperity. From the third gate in the west come clouds, frost, snow, rain, dew, and locusts.
From the first western gate next to the north come dew, frost, cold, snow, and ice. From the middle gate come dew, rain, prosperity, and blessings. From the last gate next to the south come drought, ruin, scorching, and destruction.
I have shown you, my son Methuselah, the twelve gates of heaven in all four directions, along with all their rules, punishments, and blessings.
