Chapter XXXIII Summary
Enoch traveled to the ends of the earth. He saw many different kinds of beasts and birds. Each one looked and sounded different. To the east of these creatures, he saw where the earth ends and the heaven rests. He saw the open gates of heaven. Enoch watched the stars come out. He counted the gates they came through. He wrote down each star's name, path, position, time, and month. Uriel, the angel with him, showed him all of this and helped him write it down. Uriel also wrote the stars' laws and groups for him.
From there, I traveled to the farthest parts of the earth and saw many large animals, each one different from the others. I also saw birds that were different in how they looked, their beauty, and their sounds, each one unlike the others.
I saw the eastern edge of the earth where the heaven rests, and the open gates of heaven.
I watched as the stars came out and counted the gates they passed through. I recorded each star's path, position, and schedule, along with their names and the months they appeared, just as the angel Uriel, who was with me, explained.
He showed me everything and wrote it all down for me, including their names, laws, and groups.
