Chapter XXXI Summary

I saw more mountains. Among them were groves of trees. These trees produced nectar called sarara and galbanum. I saw another mountain to the east of the ends of the earth. It had aloe trees. All the trees were full of stacte. They looked like almond trees. When someone burned the stacte, it smelled sweeter than any other fragrant odor.

Verse 1

I saw other mountains, and among them were groves of trees. From these trees flowed nectar, which is called sarara and galbanum.

Verse 2

Beyond these mountains, I saw another mountain to the east of the ends of the earth. On this mountain were aloe trees, and all the trees were full of stacte, resembling almond trees.

Verse 3

When it was burned, the smell was sweeter than any other pleasant scent.
