Chapter XVIII🇪🇸🇷🇺🇮🇳🇨🇳Enoch

Chapter XVIII Summary

Enoch saw the places where the winds are kept. These winds hold up the earth and the sky. They also move the sun and stars. Enoch saw the winds on earth carrying clouds. He saw where the angels walk. He saw a place that is always burning. There are seven mountains there. Three are to the east and three are to the south. The middle mountain is very tall and made of alabaster and sapphire. Enoch saw a deep hole with fire falling into it. Beyond the hole, there is a empty and scary place. There are seven big, burning stars there. An angel told Enoch that this is the end of the earth and sky. It is a prison for stars that did not come out when they were supposed to. They are trapped there for ten thousand years.

Verse 1

I saw where all the winds are stored. I saw how He uses them to support everything He has made and to hold up the earth.

Verse 2

I saw the foundation of the earth. I also saw the four winds that hold up the earth and the sky.

Verse 3

I saw how the winds stretch out the sky and have their place between heaven and earth. These winds are the supports of the sky.

Verse 4

I saw the winds that blow in the sky, which make the sun and all the stars move and set.

Verse 5

I saw the winds on the earth carrying the clouds. I saw the paths of the angels at the end of the earth and the sky above. I went further and saw a place that burns day and night. There are seven mountains of beautiful stones there, three facing east and three facing south.

Verse 7

Those on the east side were made of colored stone, pearl, and jacinth, while those on the south side were made of red stone.

Verse 8

The middle mountain stretched up towards heaven, looking like God's throne, made of alabaster, with its peak shining like sapphire.

Verse 9

I saw a burning fire. And beyond these mountains

Verse 10

Here is a region at the edge of the vast earth where the heavens come to an end.

Verse 11

I saw a deep pit with columns of blazing fire. Among them, I saw more columns of fire that were impossible to measure in height or depth.

Verse 12

Beyond that deep chasm, I saw a place with no sky above and no solid ground below. There was no water there, and no birds. It was a desolate and terrifying place.

Verse 13

I saw seven stars there that looked like huge, burning mountains. When I asked about them,

Verse 14

The angel said, 'This is where heaven and earth come to an end. It's a prison for the stars and all the heavenly beings.'

Verse 15

These stars that roll over the fire are the ones that disobeyed God's command at the very beginning. They didn't appear when they were supposed to.

Verse 16

God was angry with them and tied them up until the time when their guilt would be complete, for ten thousand years.
