Chapter XIV🇪🇸🇷🇺🇮🇳🇨🇳Enoch

Chapter XIV Summary

Enoch writes about a vision he had. He explains that he was given the ability to understand and speak about this vision. He was also given the task to reprimand the Watchers, the fallen angels. Enoch tells the Watchers that their request for forgiveness will not be granted. They will never go back to heaven and will be bound to the earth forever. They will watch their beloved sons, the Nephilim, die by the sword. No amount of pleading will change their fate. In his vision, Enoch is taken up to heaven. He sees a wall of crystals surrounded by fire. He enters a house made of crystals, but it is too hot and cold, and he is afraid. He falls to the ground. Then he sees another, even bigger house made of fire. Inside, he sees a high throne made of crystal. The throne has wheels like the shining sun and cherubim around it. Under the throne, there are streams of fire. On the throne sits the Great Glory, whose clothes are brighter than the sun and whiter than snow. No one can look at Him or enter because of His glory. There are many angels around Him, but He does not need their advice. The holy ones near Him never leave. Enoch is on the ground, trembling. The Lord calls him and tells him to come closer and listen. One of the holy ones wakes Enoch up and helps him approach the door. Enoch bows his face downwards.

Verse 1

The book containing the words of righteousness and the warning to the eternal Watchers, as commanded by the Holy Great One in that vision.

Verse 2

I had a dream, and now I will tell you what I saw using the words and breath that the Great One has given to people to speak and understand with their hearts.

Verse 3

He gave people the ability to understand wisdom, and He also created me to reprimand the Watchers, the children of heaven.

Verse 4

I recorded your request, and in my vision, I saw that it will not be granted to you forever. A final decision has been made against you, and your request will not be approved.

Verse 5

You will never again ascend into heaven for all eternity, and the decree has been made to bind you to the earth for all the days of the world.

Verse 6

Before this, you will have witnessed the destruction of your beloved sons, and you will take no pleasure in them, for they will fall before you by the sword.

Verse 7

You will not be granted your request for them, nor for yourselves, even if you cry, pray, and recite all the words written in this book.

Verse 8

Clouds called me, and mist beckoned me in the vision. The paths of the stars and lightning flashed and hurried me along. The winds in the vision made me fly, lifted me up, and carried me into the sky.

Verse 9

I approached a wall made of crystals and surrounded by flames, which frightened me. I entered the flames and went up to a large house also made of crystals. The walls of the house were like a mosaic floor made of crystals, and its foundation was also crystal.

Verse 11

The roof was like the path of stars and lightning, and between them were fiery cherubim, with their sky as clear as water.

Verse 12

A wall of fire surrounded the place, and its gates were burning with fire.

Verse 13

I went into that house, and it was scorching hot like fire and freezing cold like ice. There was no joy or pleasure there. Fear overwhelmed me, and I started shaking uncontrollably.

Verse 14

I was so afraid that I fell down on my face.

Verse 15

I saw a vision, and there was a second house, larger than the first one. Its entire entrance was wide open in front of me, and it was made of flames of fire.

Verse 16

It was so incredibly bright, grand, and vast that I can't even begin to describe its brilliance and size to you.

Verse 17

The ground was made of fire, and above it were flashes of lightning and the paths of the stars. The roof was also burning with fire.

Verse 18

I looked and saw a high throne there. It looked like crystal, and its wheels were as bright as the sun. I also saw a vision of cherubim.

Verse 19

From beneath the throne, rivers of blazing fire flowed, making it impossible for me to look at them.

Verse 20

The Great Glory sat on the throne, and His clothing shone brighter than the sun and was whiter than any snow.

Verse 21

No angel could go in or see His face because of His greatness and glory, and no human could see Him either.

Verse 22

A ring of flaming fire surrounded Him, and a great fire stood before Him. No one could come near Him. Ten thousand times ten thousand beings stood before Him, yet He didn't need any advisor.

Verse 23

The most holy ones who were close to Him did not leave Him at night nor go away from Him.

Verse 24

And up until that moment, I had been lying face down, trembling. Then the Lord called me with His own voice and said, 'Come here, Enoch, and listen to my words.'

Verse 25

One of the holy ones came to me, woke me up, and helped me stand. He led me to the door, and I bowed my face down in respect.
