The speaker wishes they could cry like a cloud to ease their heartache. They ask who gave the sinners permission to act wickedly. Judgement will come to the sinners. The righteous are told not to fear the sinners. The Lord will give the sinners to the righteous for judgement. Woe to those who curse others, for healing will be far from them. Woe to those who harm their neighbors, for they will be treated the same way. Woe to those who lie and act unjustly, for they will suddenly perish. Woe to you who pronounce irreversible curses: Because of your sins, healing will be far from you.
Woe to you who treat your neighbor badly, for you will be treated the same way you treat others.
Woe to you, false witnesses, and to those who dish out injustice. You will suddenly be destroyed.
Woe to you, sinners, for you persecute the righteous. You will be handed over and persecuted because of your injustice, and the burden will be heavy on you.
