Chapter XLVII Summary
The prayers and cries of the righteous rise up to the Lord of Spirits. The holy ones in heaven join together to pray and praise for the righteous who have been harmed. They ask that the Lord of Spirits judge those who have done wrong and that the righteous not suffer forever. The Head of Days sits on His throne of glory. The books of the living are opened before Him. All of His heavenly host and counselors stand before Him. The hearts of the holy are filled with joy because the prayers of the righteous have been heard and their suffering has been seen by the Lord of Spirits.
In those days, the prayers of the righteous and the blood of the righteous from the earth will rise up before the Lord of Spirits.
In those days, the holy ones who live in heaven will join together and pray, asking for help and giving thanks to the Lord of Spirits. They will do this for the righteous people whose blood was shed, so that their prayers are not ignored, justice is served, and the righteous do not suffer forever.
In those days, I saw the Ancient of Days sitting on His glorious throne, and the books of life were opened before Him. All His heavenly host and counselors stood before Him. The hearts of the holy were filled with joy because the number of the righteous had been completed, their prayers had been heard, and the blood of the righteous had been avenged before the Lord of Spirits.
