Leviticus 8:15
And he slew it; and Moses took the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about with his finger, and purified the altar, and poured the blood at the bottom of the altar, and sanctified it, to make reconciliation upon it.
Simple English
And he killed it. Then Moses used its blood to paint the altar's horns all around. He cleaned the altar with the blood from his finger, poured the rest of the blood at the bottom, made it holy, and this helped make up for any mistakes.
