Describes a time when Israel was ruled by judges and the cycle of turning away from God, facing trouble, and then returning to Him.

Chapter 8

KJV - Judges 8:19

And he said, They were my brethren, even the sons of my mother: as the LORD liveth, if ye had saved them alive, I would not slay you.

He said, "They were my family members, like brothers. If you had saved them, I wouldn't want to kill you. I swear by the Lord."
