Describes the return of the Jews from Babylonian exile and the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem.

Chapter 8

KJV - Ezra 8:21

Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the river of Ahava, that we might afflict ourselves before our God, to seek of him a right way for us, and for our little ones, and for all our substance.

Then I announced a time of no food at the Ahava River, so we could show sadness in front of God. We wanted to ask Him to show us the right path for us, our children, and everything we own.
