Ezra

Describes the return of the Jews from Babylonian exile and the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem.

Chapter 2

KJV - Ezra 2:1

Now these are the children of the province that went up out of the captivity, of those which had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away unto Babylon, and came again unto Jerusalem and Judah, every one unto his city;

Now, these are the people from the area who returned after being taken captive by Nebuchadnezzar, the King of Babylon, and sent to Babylon. They later went back to Jerusalem and Judah, returning to their individual cities.
