1 Chronicles 29:27
And the time that he reigned over Israel was forty years; seven years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty and three years reigned he in Jerusalem.
Simple English
He ruled over Israel for 40 years. He was king of Hebron for 7 years and king of Jerusalem for 30 more years, making it a total of 33 years.
