Noah had four sons: Shem, Ham, Japheth, and their names were listed like this.

The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

The children of Japheth are Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.

And the sons of Gomer; Ashchenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.

The descendants of Shem include Elam, Assyria (Asshur), Arphaxad, Lud, Aram, Uz, Hul, Gether, and Meshech.

And Arphaxad begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.

Arphaxad had a son named Shelah, and Shelah had a son named Eber.

And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother’s name was Joktan.

Eber had two sons named Peleg and Joktan. Peleg was born during a time when the Earth was split, while Joktan was his brother.

And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,

Joktan had children named Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, and Jerah.

Hadoram also, and Uzal, and Diklah,

Hadoram, Uzal, and Diklah were also included.

And Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,

And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.

And when Husham was dead, Hadad the son of Bedad, which smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.

When Husham died, Hadad, the son of Bedad, took over his rule. He attacked Midian in the land of Moab and ruled from a city called Avith.

And when Hadad was dead, Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.

When Hadad died, Samlah from Masrekah took over as the new ruler.

And when Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.

When Samlah died, Shaul took over as ruler in Rehoboth by the river.

And when Shaul was dead, Baalhanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.

When Shaul died, Baalhanan, son of Achbor, became the new ruler.

And when Baalhanan was dead, Hadad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife’s name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.

When Baalhanan died, Hadad took over as ruler. His city was called Pai. His wife's name was Mehetabel, who was the daughter of Matred and the granddaughter of Mezahab.

Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were; duke Timnah, duke Aliah, duke Jetheth,

Hadad passed away too. The leaders of Edom were: leader of Timnah, leader of Aliah, leader of Jetheth.

Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,

Duke Aholibamah, Duke Elah, and Duke Pinon.

Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,
