He was with David at Pasdammim, and there the Philistines were gathered together to battle, where was a parcel of ground full of barley; and the people fled from before the Philistines.
Simple English
David and his friend were at Pasdammim when the Philistines gathered for a fight. There, they found a field with lots of barley. People ran away when the Philistines attacked.
