Chapter 9

KJV - Nehemiah 9:31

Nevertheless for thy great mercies’ sake thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God.

Yet because of your great kindness, you didn't completely destroy them or leave them; since you are a kind and compassionate God.
