←Back to VersesJohn answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:
John replied to everyone, "I use water for baptism, but a stronger person is coming. I'm not even good enough to untie his shoelaces. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire."
