Joshua leads the Israelites into the Promised Land, conquering it through many battles.

Chapter 11

KJV - Joshua 11:10

And Joshua at that time turned back, and took Hazor, and smote the king thereof with the sword: for Hazor beforetime was the head of all those kingdoms.

At that moment, Joshua went back and captured Hazor. He defeated the city's ruler with a sword because Hazor used to be the leader of all those other kingdoms.
