Jeremiah 44:6
Wherefore my fury and mine anger was poured forth, and was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted and desolate, as at this day.
Simple English
Because of this, my anger was let out and grew strong in the cities of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem. Now, they are destroyed and empty, just like they are today.
