Jeremiah 39:1
In the ninth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the tenth month, came Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon and all his army against Jerusalem, and they besieged it.
Simple English
In the 9th year of King Zedekiah of Judah, during the 10th month, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon arrived with his entire army to attack Jerusalem. They surrounded the city and didn't let anyone in or out.
