Jeremiah 38:16
←Back to VersesSo Zedekiah the king sware secretly unto Jeremiah, saying, As the LORD liveth, that made us this soul, I will not put thee to death, neither will I give thee into the hand of these men that seek thy life.
So King Zedekiah promised Jeremiah in secret, saying, "As God is alive, who created us, I promise not to kill you and won't give you to those people who want to harm you."
