Amos 1:9
←Back to VersesThus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Tyrus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant:
So says the Lord: Because of Tyre's three major wrongdoings and a fourth one, I won't hold back punishment. This is because they handed over all the captured people to Edom and forgot their promise to treat each other like family.
