Judges

Describes a time when Israel was ruled by judges and the cycle of turning away from God, facing trouble, and then returning to Him.

Chapter 1

KJV - Judges 1:4

And Judah went up; and the LORD delivered the Canaanites and the Perizzites into their hand: and they slew of them in Bezek ten thousand men.

Judah advanced, and God helped them defeat the Canaanites and Perizzites. They killed ten thousand men from these groups in a place called Bezek.
