Back to ChaptersKJV - Hebrews 8:9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. This verse says that God did not follow the agreement He made with the ancestors of these people when He led them out of Egypt. This is because they didn't keep their part of the agreement, and God didn't consider them anymore, as spoken by the Lord.
