Warns against false teachers and emphasizes the importance of growing in faith.

Chapter 2

KJV - 2 Peter 2:1

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

But there were fake prophets too, just like there will be fake teachers among you. They secretly teach wrong beliefs, even denying the Lord who saved them, and they cause their own quick destruction.
