2 Corinthians 11:2
For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
Simple English
Because I am very protective of you in a good way: since I've promised you to only one partner, it's so I can give you to Jesus pure and untouched.
