1 Samuel 3:9
Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
Simple English
So, Eli told Samuel to go rest. If someone called him, Samuel was to ask them to speak, saying "Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening." Then, Samuel did as he was told and rested in his spot.
