←Back to VersesThen she said, I desire one small petition of thee; I pray thee, say me not nay. And the king said unto her, Ask on, my mother: for I will not say thee nay.
Then she asked, Please grant me one little request; please don't refuse me. And the king told her, Go ahead and ask, my dear; because I won't deny you.
