The Einherjar (Old Norse: Einherjar, singular Einheri, meaning "lone warriors" or "those who fight by themselves") are the souls of warriors who have died in battle and been chosen by Odin to join him in Valhalla, the afterlife hall of fallen warriors in Norse mythology. In Hebrew, they can be referred to as לוחמי יחיד (Lochmei Yachid), translating to "solo fighters." In German, they are known as Einherjer, and in French, they are called Einherjar. These chosen warriors are said to prepare for the great battle of Ragnarök, where they will fight alongside Odin against the forces of chaos. The Einherjar are served mead by the Valkyries and are said to rise each day to train and fight, only to be resurrected and healed by night, ready to continue their eternal preparation for the final battle. This concept is deeply rooted in Norse mythology and reflects the cultural values of honor, bravery, and the afterlife rewards for those who die in combat.
