Born again

Spiritual rebirth, also known as born again or regeneration, is a fundamental concept in many religions and spiritual traditions, referring to a profound transformation of a person's inner self, often characterized by a sense of renewal, enlightenment, or a new beginning. In Hebrew, this concept can be translated as תחייה רוחנית (tekhiyat haneshamah, literally "soul revival"). In Arabic, it may be expressed as الولادة الروحية (al-wilāda al-rūḥiyya), and in Spanish, it is often referred to as nacimiento espiritual. This transformation is typically associated with a deeper understanding of one's purpose, a release from past burdens, and a renewed commitment to spiritual growth. In Christianity, spiritual rebirth is often linked to baptism and is described in the New Testament, particularly in the Gospel of John (John 3:3-8), where Jesus tells Nicodemus that one must be "born again" to enter the Kingdom of God. Similarly, in Buddhism, the concept of rebirth is central, though it differs from spiritual rebirth in that it refers to the cycle of reincarnation rather than a singular transformative event. In Hinduism, the idea of spiritual renewal is tied to the concept of moksha, or liberation from the cycle of rebirth. Across these traditions, spiritual rebirth signifies a pivotal moment of spiritual awakening and transformation.
