Sextile

A sextile is an astrological aspect formed when two planets are approximately two signs apart, or 60° (1/6 of a circle) from each other when observed from Earth. The term originates from the Latin word sextus, meaning "sixth," referring to the sixth part of a circle. In Hebrew, it is known as סקסטיל (Sekstil), while in Spanish it is sextil, and in German, it is Sextil. This aspect is considered harmonious and favorable, often associated with opportunities, cooperation, and the blending of energies between the two planets involved. Unlike more intense aspects such as squares or oppositions, sextiles are seen as gentle influences that encourage growth and positive interactions. Astrologers interpret sextiles as moments where the planets involved can work together seamlessly, fostering creativity, communication, and mutual support.
