About Sefirot

§ 02

Sephiroth is a fictional character and primary antagonist in Final Fantasy VII, a critically acclaimed role-playing video game developed by Square (now Square Enix) and released in 1997. The name "Sephiroth" is derived from the Kabbalistic concept of the ten Sefirot, which represent the manifestations of God's presence in the world. In Hebrew, the term is written as ספירות. The character has since become an iconic figure in the gaming world, known for his complex backstory, striking design, and memorable quotes. Sephiroth is a former elite soldier, known as a SOLDIER, who turns against his creators and seeks to destroy the planet. His character is often analyzed for his tragic and villainous traits, as well as his deep philosophical themes. In Japanese, the name is written as セフィロス, pronounced "Sefirosu." The character's popularity has led to numerous appearances in other media, including sequels, spin-offs, and merchandise, cementing his status as one of the most recognizable villains in video game history.
