Reincarnation Cycle

The reincarnation cycle, also known as samsara in Sanskrit and gilgul in Hebrew, refers to the concept of a soul or consciousness undergoing a series of successive lives in various bodily forms. This cycle is a fundamental belief in many religious and spiritual traditions, including Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and certain branches of Kabbalah within Judaism. The cycle is often driven by the law of karma, where the actions and deeds of one life influence the circumstances of the next. The ultimate goal in many of these traditions is to break free from the cycle, achieving a state of liberation or enlightenment. In Hinduism, this is known as moksha, in Buddhism as nirvana, and in Kabbalah as yichud. The concept is also present in other cultures and languages, such as metempsychosis in Greek and transmigrazione in Italian.
