Doublethink

Reality control refers to the manipulation or alteration of perceived or actual reality, often through technological, psychological, or supernatural means. This concept is explored in various fields, including science fiction, philosophy, and psychology. In Hebrew, reality control can be translated as שליטה במציאות (shlitah b'metziyat). In Spanish, it is known as control de la realidad, while in French, it is referred to as contrôle de la réalité. In German, the term is Realitätskontrolle. The idea of reality control is central to many science fiction narratives, where characters possess the ability to alter or manipulate the fabric of reality itself. Philosophically, reality control raises questions about the nature of perception, consciousness, and the malleability of existence. Psychologically, it touches on concepts like cognitive dissonance, perception management, and the power of belief to shape individual and collective experiences.
