Oracle

Oracle is a term with multiple meanings, but it is most commonly associated with a database management system (DBMS) developed by the American company Oracle Corporation. In the context of technology, an oracle (Hebrew: אורקל, French: oracle, German: Orakel, Spanish: oráculo) is a software or service designed to manage and retrieve data efficiently. Oracle Database, often referred to simply as Oracle, is one of the most widely used multi-model database management systems, known for its scalability, reliability, and performance. It supports structured data in relational format and, through Oracle Multimodel, also supports other data formats like JSON, XML, and graphs. The term "oracle" can also refer to a person or agency considered to provide wise counsel or prophetic predictions, originating from the ancient Greek word orákleon (ὀράκλεον), derived from óraō (ὁράω), meaning "I see, understand."
