Magni

Magni is a character from Norse mythology, known as the son of the giantess Grid and the god Thor. His name, which translates to "Mighty" or "The Strong One" in Old Norse (Mikill), reflects his immense strength and stature. In the Prose Edda, a 13th-century text compiled by Snorri Sturluson, Magni is described as being exceptionally strong even as a child, demonstrating his inherited strength from his father, Thor. Magni is also notable for his role in the aftermath of Ragnarök, the Norse apocalypse, where he survives and inherits Mjölnir, Thor's hammer. In Old Norse, Magni is referred to as Magni Þórsson. While there is no direct translation of "Magni" to Hebrew, the concept of a mighty or strong figure can be conveyed as עז (oz) or חזק (chazak). In modern English, Magni is sometimes used as a given name, reflecting his mythological significance and the enduring appeal of Norse mythology.
