Learn Simple English Gematria

Simple English Gematria is a method of calculating the numerical value of words or phrases based on the sum of the positional values of their letters in the English alphabet. Unlike traditional Gematria, which is rooted in Hebrew and other Semitic languages, Simple English Gematria is a modern adaptation that applies similar principles to the English language. The term "Gematria" itself comes from the Greek word γηματρία (transliterated as gēmatria), meaning "geometric analysis," and is often associated with Jewish mystical traditions. In Hebrew, the concept is known as גימטריה (pronounced gimatria). In Spanish, it is referred to as gematría, and in French, it is called gématrie. This practice is used in various contexts, including numerology, cryptography, and religious studies, to uncover hidden meanings or connections within text. Simple English Gematria assigns each letter of the alphabet a value corresponding to its position (A=1, B=2, ..., Z=26) and then sums these values to derive a numerical equivalent for the word or phrase.
