Kennedy Space Center

The Kennedy Space Center (KSC), located on Merritt Island, Florida, is one of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) field centers. It is one of the best-known launch centers in the world and has been the departure point for every human spaceflight mission by the United States since 1968. The center is named after the 35th U.S. President and Florida native John F. Kennedy. Kennedy Space Center in Hebrew is מרכז החלל קנדי, in Russian it is Космический центр имени Кеннеди, and in French it is Centre spatial Kennedy. The center is home to the Launch Complex 39, which has been used for launches of the Apollo/Saturn and the Space Shuttle, and is planned to be used for NASA's Space Launch System. It also serves as a visitor complex that enjoys over 1.5 million guests a year.

The John F. Kennedy Space Center, located on Merritt Island, Florida, is one of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) ten field centers. Since 1968, KSC has been NASA's primary launch center of American spaceflight, research, and technology. Launch operations for the Apollo, Skylab and Space Shuttle programs were carried out from Kennedy Space Center Launch Complex 39 and managed by KSC. Located on the east coast of Florida, KSC is adjacent to Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS). The management of the two entities work very closely together, share resources, and operate facilities on each other's property.
