A horoscope is an astrological chart or diagram representing the positions of the Sun, Moon, stars, and planets at a specific moment in time, typically the moment of a person's birth. The term derives from the Greek words hōroskopion, meaning "a viewing of the hour." In Hebrew, it is known as גלגל המזלות (galgal hamazalot), while in Spanish it is horóscopo, in French horoscope, and in German Horoskop. Horoscopes are used in astrology to provide insights into a person's personality, life events, and future possibilities. They are often divided into twelve signs, each corresponding to one of the zodiac signs, which are based on the constellations through which the Sun appears to pass over the course of a year. Horoscopes are widely popular in various cultures and are often published in newspapers, magazines, and online platforms, offering daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly predictions based on the individual's sun sign.
