Hiroshi Nemoto

Hiroshi Nemoto (根本 寛, Nemoto Hiroshi, born 1941) is a Japanese former professional road bicycle racer. He is best known for winning the road race at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, becoming the first Japanese cyclist to win an Olympic gold medal in this event. Nemoto's victory was a significant achievement for Japanese cycling and remains a notable moment in the country's sporting history. Hiroshi Nemoto in Hebrew is הירושי נמוטו. In French, he is known as Hiroshi Nemoto, and in Spanish, he is referred to as Hiroshi Nemoto. Nemoto's success inspired a generation of Japanese cyclists and contributed to the growth of the sport in Japan. He retired from professional racing in 1968 and later worked as a cycling coach and commentator.
