Hiddenhand

Hiddenhand is a term often used to describe a mysterious or unseen influence or power that controls events or people from behind the scenes. The phrase suggests that there is a covert force at work, manipulating situations without direct visibility or acknowledgment. The concept of a hidden hand is prevalent in various contexts, including politics, economics, and conspiracy theories. In Hebrew, the term can be translated as יד חבויה (Yad Chavuya). In Spanish, it is mano oculta, and in French, it is main invisible. The idea of a hidden hand is also central to some economic theories, notably Adam Smith's metaphor of the "invisible hand" of the market, which describes the self-regulating nature of the economy. However, unlike Smith's benign and naturalistic concept, the term "hidden hand" often carries a more sinister or manipulative connotation, implying deliberate and secretive control over events or individuals.
