Global Astrological Systems Overview

Global astrological systems refer to the various frameworks and traditions used to interpret the influence of celestial bodies on human affairs and natural phenomena across different cultures and regions. These systems are based on the observation and interpretation of astronomical events, such as the movements of the Sun, Moon, planets, and stars. Astrological systems often include components like zodiac signs, houses, aspects, and planetary rulers, which are used to create horoscopes and provide insights into personality traits, future events, and compatibility. The practice of astrology is found in many cultures, including Western, Hindu (known as Jyotish in Sanskrit, or ג'יוטיש in Hebrew), Chinese, and Mayan astrology, each with its unique symbols, methods, and interpretations. While Western astrology is based on the tropical zodiac, which aligns with the seasons, Hindu astrology uses the sidereal zodiac, which is based on the fixed stars. Chinese astrology, on the other hand, is based on a 12-year cycle of animal signs and the five elements.
