Garlic Bread

Garlic bread is a common side dish consisting of bread topped with minced garlic and butter and may include additional herbs like parsley, or other seasonings like grated cheese. It is then either baked in an oven or toasted. Garlic bread is often served with many Italian dishes such as pasta or pizza. The dish is also known as Focaccia all'aglio in Italian and Pan con ajo in Spanish. In Hebrew, it is called לחם שום (Lechem Shum). The dish gained significant popularity in the United States in the 1970s and has since become a staple in many American and international cuisines. Garlic bread can be made using various types of bread, including baguettes, sourdough, or ciabatta, and can be served as an appetizer or a side dish.
