Friggs Handmaidens

Frigg's handmaidens, also known as the Fylgjur or Völur in Old Norse, were a group of female attendants or servants associated with Frigg, the queen of the Æsir in Norse mythology. The term Fylgjur can be translated to Hebrew as פילג'ור, while in German, they are referred to as Fylgjen. These handmaidens were often depicted as wise women or prophetesses, possessing the ability to see into the future and guide Frigg in her roles as a goddess of marriage, motherhood, and destiny. They were also believed to accompany and protect the souls of noble women, appearing in various forms such as animals or spirits. The concept of Frigg's handmaidens is deeply rooted in Norse mythology and reflects the cultural emphasis on the interconnectedness of fate, femininity, and the divine.
