About Divine Ratio Meaning

§ 02

The divine ratio, also known as the golden ratio, is a special number approximately equal to 1.618. It is often denoted by the Greek letter phi (φ). This ratio is defined as the positive solution to the quadratic equation x2 = x + 1, and it possesses unique mathematical properties that have fascinated scholars for centuries. The divine ratio is often encountered in various aspects of art, architecture, and nature, where it is believed to represent an aesthetically pleasing proportion. In Hebrew, the divine ratio is referred to as היחס האלוהי or יחס הזהב. Similarly, in Spanish, it is known as la proporción áurea, and in French, it is called le nombre d'or. The divine ratio's significance extends beyond mathematics, as it is frequently associated with harmony and balance in both natural and man-made structures.
